May 23, 2006

Retail Sales Dollars Continue To Grow In Second Half 2005

South San Francisco, CA (May 23, 2006) – Future US, a leading publisher of cutting-edge games, action sports, computing musician, and men’s and women’s lifestyle magazines, climbed from 11th to the 10th largest newsstand publisher in the US in Circulation Management magazine’s ranking of the top 50 audited newsstand publishers’ by retail sales in the second half of 2005.

According to Circulation Management’s April 2006 issue, Future US titles saw a 12.5% gain in retail dollar sales, jumping from $25,522,000 in the second half 2004 to $28,720,000 in the second half 2005. Future now ranks above Dennis Publishing (11th) and major competitor Ziff Davis (16th) by retail dollar sales. Future US is also the only publisher in Circulation Management’s top 10 that does not have a check out title.

Future’s inclusion of exclusive premiums (namely DVDs and CD-ROMs) with the majority of newsstand copies means that consumers spend significantly more money on Future titles than any other magazines on the newsstand. The average cover price of a Future publication rose to $8.91; almost three times that of the other top 10 publishers, which averaged $3.14.

“Future is a powerhouse on newsstands because we publish the most hard-hitting, entertaining and relevant magazines for markets where there is deep and urgent information need,” states Jonathan Simpson-Bint, President. “Our readers are willing to pay premium newsstand prices for our titles because not only are Future’s magazines superior print products, but most titles come with a fully-integrated high value DVD or CD-ROM.”
